Life's Handprints; A Legacy Project at Farrell Arts offers a deeply meaningful and therapeutic experience that allows you to leave a lasting imprint on the world. This two-hour individual art therapy session is designed for those navigating terminal illnesses, battling cancer, or nearing life’s end. Join us on this unique journey and create a beautiful handcast that captures the essence of your story, engage in healing conversations tailored to your needs, and leave with a tangible piece of art representing your legacy. This session includes: - Professional Art Therapist to guide discussion to make sure your full life's story is witnessed, as well as honest conversations around death, fear of death, acceptance and embracing death, leaving loved ones behind, your grief and the weight of your families grief. - Hand casting After the session is completed Farrell will take the hand mould and create a replica hand. When you receive the hand cast, a small book will accompany it, which has your lifes story printed inside with all the details touched on in our session. It will also have room to add any memories that you forgot to touch on in the session. This session is meant to be brought to you in hospital, palliative care, at home or in a park of your choice. Please let me know the location at the time of booking. It is recommended to make sure the room, or place of choice will be private so that you feel comfoprtable talking about your life's history during the session. The session will be recorded to make sure no important information about your life is missed. To prepare for the session, please wear loose fitting clothing that has short sleeves or a hospital gown. Thank you for choosing me to help create art with you and witness the creation of your legacy project. It can be passed on to loved ones at any time after I deliver it to you, whenever the moment feels right. Some people want to see their loved ones faces as they take in the hand cast and story, while others want to wait until they have passed away.
